Asher is One!!
I had so much fun planning for this photo shoot! My mother-in-law have me my husband's old highchair to use. Isn't it awesome!? She said it was an antique even back then, so who knows how old it is. She had painted it a few times so she didn't mind if I added one more layer of paint to it! I chose the turquoise because a: its my favorite color in the world and b: it works well for a boy or a girl. I had made the "Happy Birthday" banner for the kids' party last year, and I made the pennant bunting especially for this shoot (it worked out well that it matches my son's room b/c it is hanging in there now!). This was also my first time to do a shoot in my own backyard. It was very convenient for one thing! I had fun learning different areas I could use for setups and I learned a lot about the lighting back there! It was a very fun shoot. This sweet boy and his family are near and dear to our hearts so it was such a joy to capture this exciting milestone for them.

The Dearmons
I can't believe I haven't shared this session with you yet. This may be one of my favorite sessions so far. Of course, I say that about almost all of them. We took these pictures of Baby Sutton when he was less than a week old. Then I came back a little while later and took pics of the whole family. Sutton was an ideal subject. So cute and laid back! Add in a beautiful mom, dad and brother, plus a beautiful home with lots of natural light, and you've got a formula for some gorgeous pictures. Sorry, that there are so many, but I had a hard time narrowing them down :)

Cutie Patootie
I have been MIA on this blog for a few weeks now. Mainly due to the fact that I have been crafting like a maniac! I still have a bunch of photoshoots to share with you on here, but today, I just want to share this one pic. I dare you to try to look at this without smiling. Come on. What? Yeah, I can't do it either. I think it's the pigtails.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Family Photo Shoot
This shoot was another first for me. My first Family shoot. I love this sweet family and their precious baby boy. Little Mister was not real pumped about getting his picture taken on this particular day, but i think we still managed to get some great shots. What I learned from this shoot? If I thought it was tricky to get a good shot of one toddler, just add a couple more faces in there and it gets very tricky, very fast! Even with such wonderful subjects, there were many shots where 2 of them looked great, but the other person looked sketchy. My philosophy: there is safety in numbers. I take multiple shots of each pose to ensure that i get a great one where everyone is looking and smiling!

Baby Anna
This shoot was special to me for many reasons. For one, it was my first ever newborn shoot!! Another reason is, Sweet baby Anna's due date was almost exactly the same as Baby Bella's. She ended up coming a couple weeks early, and of course Bella came 9 weeks early, but whenever I see her at church, I will always know that she and Bella would have been about the same age. I actually contacted Anna's parents and asked if I could do a photo shoot for them as a baby gift. I wanted a baby to practice on and I wanted to do something for her sweet momma. She was a perfect angel throughout the shoot and we even managed to snap a few pics of big brother while we were at it.
For me, this shoot was a big lesson in staging baby pics. I got to practice my set-ups as well as baby posing skills. I also learned how to utilize the big wall of windows in my living room to get some pretty awesome lighting conditions. Due to the fact that I was pretty green at setting up backgrounds and such for an indoor shoot, I also got quite a bit of practice editing in Photoshop. And I got some sweet snuggles from a precious tiny baby girl. I would say it was a successful day! :)
